Lodge Pool House, Berkshire

COLESHILL. HP7
2017

An indoor swimming pool and office building set within the grounds of a substantial family and designed to fit seamlessly and sensitively within the rural surrounding landscape of Berkshire.

The project lies within the Chilterns, an 'area of outstanding natural beauty', due to which the existing property has uninterrupted views of the beautiful rolling landscape. The pool house is partially submerged into the landscape to allowing for view over, and minimising views onto the pool building.

The project ties in with MWAI research into casting, using rammed & cast concrete on the outside, a meadowland roof, stratified stone interiors with untreated oak joinery.
